Transportation
The Jefferson County Council on Aging transportation services are designed to assist older adults in Jefferson County by providing demand response transportation Monday through Friday. The program is for those 60 years of age and up or disabled who reside in Jefferson County. The following are transportation options through JCCOA:
- Medical Transportation: Medical Transportation at JCCOA recieves top priority! JCCOA provides medical transportation on a daily basis to the following areas: 1) Martinsburg 2) Shepherdstown 3) Charles Town 4) Ranson 5) Harpers Ferry/Bolivar. JCCOA does provide medical transportation to Winchester, VA the last Thursday of each month. JCCOA asks that all appointments be made between 10am-2pm. There is a fee involved with Medical Transportation that is based on a sliding fee schedule.
Medical Transportation Sliding Scale Fee Schedule
- Non-Medical Transportation: JCCOA provides non-medical transportation to shopping, recreation activities, hair appointments, banking, pharmacy purchases, etc. Monday-Friday. Non-medical transportation is provided on a donation basis.
- All reservations need to made 48 hours in advance.
- All cancellations should be 24 hours in advance notice.
