Transportation

The Jefferson County Council on Aging is offering limited transportation services that are designed to assist older adults in Jefferson County by providing transportation Monday through Friday. The program is for those 60 years of age and up or disabled who reside in Jefferson County.

The following are transportation options through JCCOA:

  • Non-Emergency Medical Transportation(NEMT): Non-Emergency Medical Transportation at JCCOA receives top priority! JCCOA provides non-emergency medical transportation to following areas:
    • Jefferson County: Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30-3:30.
    • Martinsburg: Wednesday 8:30-2:30.
    • Dialysis: Monday-Friday- All chairs times must be complete by 3pm.
  •  DHHR has recently decided to move to a statewide broker-managed Modivcare. Should you have Medicaid, please contact Modivcare at 1-844-549-8353 to schedule.
  • Should you not have Medicaid and need to schedule an appointment, please contact the JCCOA Main Line at 304-725-4044.

NEMT Sliding Scale Fee Schedule

 

  • Non-Medical Transportation: JCCOA provides non-medical transportation to shopping, recreation activities, hair appointments, banking, pharmacy purchases, etc. Monday-Friday. Non-medical transportation is provided on a donation basis. Suggested donation of $1.50 on way; $3.00 round-trip.
  • All reservations need to made 48 hours in advance.
  • All cancellations should be 24 hours in advance notice.
