Family Alzheimer’s In-Home Respite

FAIR is designed to provide a regular break for the caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. There are 3 criteria for eligibility:
A) The care receiver must have a written diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or related dementia by his/her physician
B) There must be an unpaid caregiver over the age of 18.
C) The care must be provided in Jefferson County, West Virginia

A FAIR client can receive up to 16 hours of respite service per week. Services are provided by workers individually trained in Alzheimer’s care. There is a fee involved that is based on a sliding fee schedule.
